Happy Tails Happy Homes is a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to protecting and serving the well-being of animals and fostering positive relationships between people and animals. We are an at-home foster program—no shelters, no offices, and no paid staff. All of the money donated goes directly to our animals. We specialize in saving the underdogs, those with medical or behavioral challenges that need additional support and a second chance.

Taylor Goodridge was a compassionate and spirited 17-year-old Native American enrolled in the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians who passed away tragically in 2022. She had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. Taylor’s family wanted to work directly with a rescue organization that could help honor her love for animals. In the years since, they have saved multiple dogs by helping them find their forever homes. Last year’s silent auction raised $29,720!! Thank you to all who bid and donated this year and last.

In Memory of Happy Tails Co-Founder
Vicki Niles
January 3, 1953 – October 16, 2024
We mourn the loss of Vicki Niles, beloved founder and fierce champion of Happy Tails Happy Homes. Our rescue organization was started in 2011 by Vicki and fellow long-term animal advocate Nikki Larson for the express purpose of helping the underdogs. Happy Tails Happy Homes was created to take in those animals who need us the most, dogs with behavioral or medical challenges who need a second chance.

Parker
Parker was hit by a car and left on the side of the road. His pelvis was broken and he needed lots of veterinary care. He was going to be medically euthanized unless a rescue stepped up. Happy Tails Happy Homes welcomed him into the rescue and he now lives with one of our fosters. He loves the beach, snow, and cuddles most of all.

Dixie
Dixie and her puppies came to Happy Tails Happy Homes when her owners could no longer care for her. She lived outside most of her life. Dixie is now a happy girl who is loved by her new family and spends her days cuddling on the couch.

Jordan
Jordan lived a year and half in a shelter prior to coming to Happy Tails Happy Homes. His previous owners left him at the shelter because he did not listen well. They had no idea that he was deaf. Living as a deaf dog in a shelter is challenging. Jordan was overstimulated and eventually moved off the adoption floor where he lived in isolation. Jordan was fearful of people. He has come a long way since then. He knows sign language and is trained for off leash with a vibration collar. His favorite things to do are greet people with kisses, sleep on the bed, and have zoomies on the beach.

Aubrey
Aubrey was left at the shelter by her previous owners after she had puppies. The owner kept the puppies and dropped her off only a few weeks after they were born. Aubrey struggled in the shelter immensely. In her two years there she never had an adopter. When Happy Tails Happy Homes pulled her, she was incredibly grateful. Aubrey lives happily in Burlingon with her new family. She loves soft toys and being with people.
